🎓 Bachelor in International Sport Management

Sport is a billion-dollar industry. In view of a growing market and the professionalisation of sport, the need for qualified sport managers is growing. The International Sport Management programme at LUNEX provides you with fundamental business knowledge and management skills that prepare you for the specific tasks in the international sport business.

What you will learn

During your studies, you will gain in-depth knowledge in all key areas of sports management, including business management, economics, financial management, sport marketing, human resource management and entrepreneurship. In addition, you will specialise in either Football Business & Athlete Management or Sport Marketing & Event Management* through hands-on, project-based modules that focus on real-world challenges specific to those areas of the sport industry.

Year 1: Gain the foundations

Understanding the role of sport in society is fundamental to sport management. Through practical projects and real-life case studies, you will explore the relationship between sport, business, and society. Building on this, you will gain a solid foundation in key areas such as sport policy, sport economics, sport governance, sport analytics, financial management, sport marketing and more.

Year 2: Choose your specialisation* and study abroad

At the end of your first year, you will choose a specialisation*:
• Football Business & Athlete Management
• Sport Marketing & Event Management

You will be able to study abroad for one semester, however if exempted, you will then be able to select elective modules (e.g. Esports Manager, Investment in Sport Business, Sport Facility Management, Risk & Security in Sport Events, Football Analytics & Scouting, Football Economics and more).

Year 3: Develop your professional expertise

In your final year, you will deepen your knowledge and further develop your employability skills through advanced topics and a 360-hour internship. You will also write your Bachelor Dissertation in a topic of your choice, supported by our academic experts and demonstrating your independent thinking, management and academic skills.

Curriculum

In the first year, you follow a common curriculum, building a strong foundation in key areas of sport management. From semester 3 to 5, you can choose a specialisation* in Football Business & Athlete Management or Sport Marketing & Event Management, or you can also combine both fields for a tailored approach that better aligns with your professional goals. In the final semester (semester 6), you will reunite with all students in a common pathway to further expand your expertise and prepare for your future career.
