“Sport keeps us happy, healthy and motivated. Sport improves our overall performance. This is why our Department of Sport and Exercise Science focuses on the healthy and performance-enhancing effects of exercise and sport in its research and teaching. In the course of this, we take a closer look at different environments and framework conditions, whilst taking target groups and age structures into account. Another focal point in our work is planning, conducting and evaluating trainings to optimise the performance levels of athletes.“

“At LUNEX, our approach is to educate students to understand the importance of nutrition and dietetics in improving the quality of life of individuals and societies. Students engage in in-class theoretical learning, case presentation, problem-based learning, and hands-on practical learning through on-campus laboratories, off-campus internships and community health promotion activities. The content of our modules range from understanding nutrition and food science, the role of nutrition in health promotion and disease prevention, nutritional management of diseases, research methodology, and nutrition counseling. We believe that with such a comprehensive approach, our students are prepared to directly enter the nutrition workforce in community and clinical settings, or through further education at Masters or PhD level. We strive to take a leading role on the local, regional, and long-term global health stage.”
