And… action!
Recreational & sports activities

As a “European city of sport”, Differdange provides many opportunities for engaging in sport – be this outside or in a sports hall, with a club or on your own. Luxembourg is ideal for sport and nature enthusiasts: the wide range of activities on offer includes cycling, hiking, climbing, horse riding and water sports. Those interested in culture will also find something to suit them.

Active breaks:
sports activities at LUNEX

Do you like to be active in your free time or lunch break? LUNEX offers various sports, such as football, handball, dance or badminton etc. – all in Differdange

The TOSS (Tournoi OmniSport de Supélec) is a student tournament organised since 1989 by the CentraleSupélec Sports Office. It takes place every year in May and brings together 4,500 students from French and international schools and universities, including LUNEX

Cheerleading team

The cheerleading team gathers in the gym next to LUNEX to train for their stunts, gym skills and choreographies. In 2024, they achieved an impressive second place at the TOSS competition.

Football & Rugby

The LSU organises practices on the sports field next to LUNEX for football and rugby. The goal is to develop teams in the near future to participate to competitions. In 2024, both teams reached the quarterfinals at the TOSS competition.

Volleyball

Students frequently gather in Schifflange for beach volleyball practices, aiming to build a competitive team. In 2024, the team advanced to the quarterfinals at the TOSS competition.

Tennis & Swimming

The LSU oversees both the swimming and tennis teams, which achieved remarkable success in 2024, with both teams securing first place at the TOSS competition.

Handball

For now, the sports hall next to LUNEX is under construction work so the handball court is not accessible but the LSU’s goal is also to develop such a team once it will be possible.

Sports teams are under development at the moment and the LSU is eager to offer more and more sports activities and events in the near future. For more information, please contact the LSU.
