Image rights management for students of LUNEX

We publish photos, videos and quotes only with personal consent. Consent can be given online via the student portal for image rights management of LUNEX.

Please note that this is not your LUNEX e-mail address (@stud.lunex.lu).

If you have forgotten your user ID and / or password, you can have your login data sent to the private e-mail address registered with us at any time using the “Request access data” link.

Why does LUNEX need my consent?

A lot happens at LUNEX. Of course, we would also like to share interesting events with the outside world. In order to be able to publish photos or video recordings of teaching events, excursions or projects, we need the consent of all persons depicted for data protection reasons. What a photo, video or quote can be used for also depends solely on this consent.

We have therefore developed an automated process to ensure that no image, video or quote appears without the necessary approvals. The basis for this is an online form in which the consent is given for each type of publication and can be changed again at any time.

What are the pictures, videos or quotes used for?

If we have the respective consent, we will use the photos, videos or quotes if they are suitable for:

  • Websites (e.g. news)
  • Social media (e.g. Facebook or Instagram posts)
  • Mailings (e.g. information for interested parties)
  • Learning portals (e.g. eHVP)
  • Press releases
  • Intranet

And don’t worry: we pay close attention to which approvals we have. We also never pass on pictures, videos and quotes to third parties.

What happens if I don’t fill out the form?

In this case, photos, videos or quotes are considered not approved and will not be used by us. The only exception is for group photos with more than twelve people. These may also be published without the express permission of the individual persons.

Why do I not have to give consent for group photos?

Special legal provisions apply to group photos of twelve or more people. Of course, you can object to the publication of a group photo at any time by sending an email to dpo@lunex.lu. In this case we will remove the photo as soon as possible.

In order to save you and us this inconvenience as much as possible, an important note: Photos or videos of groups are never “secretly” taken. At events organized by the LUNEX, the purpose of the photos is usually pointed out before they are taken. Therefore, in all cases in which you do not want to be photographed, we ask you to step out of the picture without being asked at the time of the recording. If you generally do not want to be photographed, please also inform the photographer.

What do I do if I change my mind about shares?

In this case, it is sufficient to log in again and adjust the respective releases in the student portal accordingly. We will react promptly to changes.

More about the Application Day

The language of instruction in all courses at LUNEX is English. You should therefore be able to speak and understand English well. You have the opportunity to participate in the Pre-Bachelor Foundation Programme and improve your English if your language skills do not meet the entrance requirements for study at Bachelor level.

We will inform you in the course of the application process which supporting documents have to be provided and when. In principle, we need the following documents for your application:

  • Copy of your personal ID
  • Copy of the highest educational and/or vocational qualification
  • Language certificate (if applicable)

Depending on the degree programme (Bachelor/Master) and your country of origin (EU/non-EU), further documents may be required. More details will be provided to you in good time.

To secure a study place, we recommend that you send us your documents as soon as possible – but at the latest two weeks before the start of your studies. If you are an applicant from outside the EU, you should note that the application process for a visa can take four to 60 days. Please make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
