LUNEX takes a stand against inequality through Rock de Rack 2023
LUNEX University actively participated in Rock de Rack 2023, an event organized by the Ministry of Equality. Tailored for secondary school classes, the event aimed to raise awareness about inequality, with a focus on its impact on sporting participation. LUNEX’s involvement was marked by an enlightening workshop led by lecturers Sophia Harith and Sanja Eischen, alongside dedicated Sport Management students.
The workshop, a collaborative effort between educators and students, delved into the intricate ways social inequalities can influence an individual’s engagement in sports. As a domain that has historically been marred by gender bias, sports serve as a pertinent arena to address and dismantle stereotypes that limit opportunities based on gender. The workshop not only discussed the prevalence of gender disparities in sports but also offered practical insights into how individuals and communities can actively contribute to breaking down these barriers.
This initiative reflects LUNEX’s broader commitment to nurturing socially responsible leaders who actively contribute to positive societal transformation. LUNEX’s involvement in Rock de Rack 2023 exemplifies the institution’s dedication to creating a more inclusive and equitable society. By addressing gender inequality within the realm of sports, the workshop aimed to inspire the younger generation to challenge stereotypes and advocate for a world where everyone can participate in sports without prejudice.
