Digital media congress attracts Sports Manager
80 enthusiastic participants joined the sixth round of the DIGITAL SPORTS SUMMIT on May 16, 2017. Alongside field reports by notable names in sport, such as Borussia Dortmund and Nürburgring GmbH, the event focused on encounters between experts in the field of digital (sports) marketing.
It was the first time that the exclusive congress had been held on “foreign ground”, namely on the campus of LUNEX University in Differdange/Luxembourg – which also explains why the television channel RTL Luxembourg was on site as an example of best practice. A SUMMIT summary: Digitalization is turning communications on its head and calls for completely new ways of thinking in sports management as well. This is completely in the spirit of LUNEX and its “principle of thinking out of the box”, reflects Christian Alt (CEO LUNEX).
It is essential for anyone who wants to keep up to date with latest developments to nurture ongoing conversations with representatives from various industries and external experts. “We are delighted to have the opportunity as co-organizer of the SUMMIT to make an active contribution to this transfer of knowledge,” comments Christian Alt. “This is all the more so given that, as a still young university for sports, health and management, our goal is to forge an innovative approach and to integrate current and future trends into the range of studies we offer. In this respect, the great interest shown in our new International Sports Management (B. A.) degree at the event has only strengthened our motivation even further.”
