Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV) and LUNEX University launch continuing professional development programme “European Volleyball Management” from spring 2023
Differdange, 14 December 2022 | The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and LUNEX University from Differdange (Luxembourg) strengthen their cooperation and have jointly designed a tailor-made further education programme for European volleyball managers. The aim of the cooperation is to future-proof volleyball and to further professionalise it from within.
In addition to sporting demands, clubs and associations must face new economic and organisational challenges resulting from the pandemic and its consequences, advancing digital transformation and demographic developments. Successful sports officials and managers, therefore, need an expanded range of skills and abilities. As most further education is primarily aimed at the sporting area of volleyball organisations, the cooperation between CEV and LUNEX University aims to close this gap. Building up on LUNEX expertise in sport management, the four-month executive certificate covers five main blocks with (1) governance and law, (2) marketing and sponsoring, (3) finance and economics, (4) digital transformation and strategic management as well as (5) communication and event management.
The offer is primarily aimed at employees of national volleyball federations and volleyball clubs as well as active players who are already planning their post-career. On 14 December 2022, CEV and LUNEX University signed the cooperation agreement. The English-language certificate programme is offered annually from March to June, with LUNEX University responsible for the content.
