LUNEX at the International Tennis Table Congress
From Friday 23th to Saturday 24th November, Luxembourg was hosting for the very first time the International Table Tennis Congress. It was organised by the CTTC-E (China Table Tennis College Europe) in collaboration with the Luxembourg Institute of Health, LIROMS (Luxembourg Institute of Research in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Science) and the FLTT (Luxembourg Table Tennis Federation).
By participating in this conference, the visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the science and practice of table tennis thanks to the presence of a large number of international experts.
These experts emphasized the different aspects related to health and performance including in particular technical skills and biomechanics, injury prevention, performance, game analysis and many more.
During this event, our Academic Director and Head of Department Exercise & Sports Science, Prof. Dr. Andreas Mierau had the opportunity to present his research on neurological processes, entitled “Inside the brain of expert table tennis players – From Theory to Practice”.
