The Pre-Bachelor Foundation Programme (PBFP)  is designed for students who wish to join any of our bachelor’s programmes but who do not yet fully meet the admission requirements in English and/or Science. It will give you the preparation you need to start your degree with confidence and succeed in your studies.

Programme structure

The PBFP consists of three main modules:

English

Required for students who do not reach the required level in the Application Day test. Students are placed in groups according to their starting level, but all take the same final exam.

Science

Required for students who do not reach the required level in the Application Day test. It covers principles of mathematics and physics, chemistry, cellular biology and human biology. The focus is not only on basic knowledge but also on learning how to study and communicate science, building skills that will support you throughout your degree.

Academic Skills

Mandatory for all participants. This module helps you develop essential skills such as study strategies, time management, academic writing, communication, and critical thinking.

Why choose the Pre-Bachelor Foundation Programme?

• Tailored language learning
Placement test ensures placement in the right English level group (A1-B1 CEFR) for effective learning.

• English immersion
All courses, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, are taught in English to strengthen your language skills.

• Academic preparation
Gain essential academic skills and learn scientific working and learning techniques through workshops and engaging activities.

• Confidence-building foundation
Prepares you practically for academic life, improving your confidence, organisation, and academic performance.

• Flexible course options
Science and English modules are also available separately.

• Personal support
Benefit from an interactive learning environment with personal support from your lecturers.

• Direct access to the Bachelor of your choice
Once you successfully pass all the required modules, you can progress directly into your chosen bachelor’s programme – there is no need to reapply.

In high school, I chose to specialize in engineering and therefore I didn’t get the basics in biology. So when I decided to study Physiotherapy, the Pre-Bachelor Foundation Programme was the best way for me get the basics in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics. All the things I have learned in the PBFP are necessary in my current studies. Teachers were very helpful and invested in our success. We learned through differents activities such as group works or games. That was a good way to engage us with what we were learning. I like this approach better as it is less boring than classic learning.

Arthur, Physiotherapy Student

The Pre-Bachelor programme was a good transition into the Bachelor, allowing us to gradually adapt to the way LUNEX works and helping us train our minds to follow courses in English. The teachers were always available to listen and assist us in achieving success. The supportive, family-like atmosphere provided an ideal learning environment. Over the six months of the Pre-Bachelor, we made significant progress, building confidence for the remainder of our studies.

Chloé, Valentin, Margaux and Eliott, Physiotherapy students

The English part of the Pre-Bachelor Foundation Programme was really interesting for me because I was not really confident with my English and scientific skills. So, it allowed me to feel ready for my studies to come. The Pre-Bachelor Foundation helped me with my English to be able to stay during 4 hours in class listening to English, which is not my mother tongue and it allowed me to be at the same level as everybody coming from everywhere around the world and to feel completely ready to follow a lecture of science.

Lucie, Physiotherapy Student

Application for a Master’s programme:
1. Fill out our Online Application Form.
2. If you have met all the prerequisites for the Master’s programme, we will email you with your study agreement. Please read it carefully, print it out and sign it.
3. In order to complete your application, please send the signed study agreement along with all other required evidence documents by post to LUNEX.

As an applicant for one of our Bachelor’s programmes, you will be invited to attend an Application Day online. A selection procedure will take place on this day to check whether you meet the necessary prerequisites for the course.

More about the Application Day

The language of instruction in all courses at LUNEX is English. You should therefore be able to speak and understand English well. You have the opportunity to participate in the Pre-Bachelor Foundation Programme and improve your English if your language skills do not meet the entrance requirements for study at Bachelor level.

We will inform you in the course of the application process which supporting documents have to be provided and when. In principle, we need the following documents for your application:

  • Copy of your personal ID
  • Copy of the highest educational and/or vocational qualification
  • Language certificate (if applicable)

Depending on the degree programme (Bachelor/Master) and your country of origin (EU/non-EU), further documents may be required. More details will be provided to you in good time.

To secure a study place, we recommend that you send us your documents as soon as possible – but at the latest two weeks before the start of your studies. If you are an applicant from outside the EU, you should note that the application process for a visa can take four to 60 days. Please make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
