Sport & Exercise Science Students Exploring Biomechanics at RheinAhrCampus

Our Master’s students in Sport and Exercise Science recently had the opportunity to visit the Biomechanics Lab at RheinAhrCampus in Remagen, Germany. Led by guest lecturer Prof. Kiros Karamanidis, the trip offered an immersive experience in biomechanics, giving students a chance to gain hands-on knowledge from experts in the field. At the lab, students were introduced to cutting-edge technology such as motion capture systems, ultrasound, a split-belt treadmill, and various data analysis tools. These tools helped them deepen their understanding of human movement and biomechanics in real-world applications.
This field trip was a valuable opportunity for students to apply their theoretical learning in a practical setting and to see how biomechanics research can enhance the effectiveness of sport and exercise science practices.
