Highlights from Student Support January Events

At LUNEX, our Student Support team is committed to creating an enriching environment where students can grow, connect, and explore new opportunities. In January 2025, two events allowed students to bond and challenge themselves.

Adventure Day: Bouldering at BlocX

As part of our monthly Adventure Day, 45 students came together for an exciting bouldering session at BlocX. This event allowed students to challenge themselves physically and mentally, all while having fun in a supportive group setting. Adventure Days at LUNEX offer a variety of experiences, from exploring historical sites like the Dudelange Castle to enjoying holiday events such as the Christmas market. These activities help students connect outside the classroom, build camaraderie, and discover Luxembourg’s unique culture.

Networking Thursday: Thibaut Van Den Heuvel

Network Thursdays provide students with a platform to promote their businesses within the LUNEX community and advance their careers. For this month’s Networking Thursday, Sport & Exercise Science student Thibaut Van Den Heuvel shared the story behind his book Through Mountains and Valley, which details his incredible cycling journey from Luxembourg to the south of France. All proceeds from the sale of his book go to Kinderkankerfonds vzw, a charity supporting children with cancer, making the event even more impactful.

Look Ahead: February’s Networking Thursday

The next Networking Thursday,  February 13, 2025, will feature a presentation by Soliter Melonde, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering communities and driving meaningful change. With teams operating in Africa and Europe, Soliter Melonde’s work offers students insight into how social initiatives can create lasting positive impact.

These events are just a few examples of how the Student Support team works to provide our students with opportunities for personal and professional growth. These events help students build lasting connections and explore new interests that enrich their academic experience.

More about the Application Day

The language of instruction in all courses at LUNEX is English. You should therefore be able to speak and understand English well. You have the opportunity to participate in the Pre-Bachelor Foundation Programme and improve your English if your language skills do not meet the entrance requirements for study at Bachelor level.

We will inform you in the course of the application process which supporting documents have to be provided and when. In principle, we need the following documents for your application:

  • Copy of your personal ID
  • Copy of the highest educational and/or vocational qualification
  • Language certificate (if applicable)

Depending on the degree programme (Bachelor/Master) and your country of origin (EU/non-EU), further documents may be required. More details will be provided to you in good time.

To secure a study place, we recommend that you send us your documents as soon as possible – but at the latest two weeks before the start of your studies. If you are an applicant from outside the EU, you should note that the application process for a visa can take four to 60 days. Please make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
