Prompt Engineering Workshop at LUNEX

Join our Workshop dedicated to students, staff and everyone interested in using LLMs in Academia for Sport Science and Rehabilitation
13 May 2026, 16:00 – 18:00
No programming skills needed or requested. Bring your own laptop.
The workshop provides a practical introduction to prompt engineering for the effective use of Large Language Models (LLMs) in academic contexts, with a specific focus on sport science and rehabilitation.
Participants will learn how to design clear, structured prompts to support key stages of research, including literature review, synthesis of scientific articles, and the development of thesis outlines and written sections (e.g., abstract, introduction, discussion).
The session will cover core prompting techniques (e.g., zero-shot, few-shot, and structured prompting), as well as strategies to enhance output quality and relevance.
Particular attention will be given to critical evaluation of AI-generated content, including source verification and the mitigation of hallucinations, as well as the integration of LLMs with scientific databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar.
Ethical considerations and best practices for responsible AI use in research and academic writing will also be discussed.
