Testimonial – Maxime’s internship in our research lab
Maxime is 22 and studies at the National Veterinary School of Toulouse. Passioned about sport and motivated by the innovate research environment at LUNEX, he wanted to join LUNEX University for his 2nd year research placement.
Dr. Thorben Hülsdünker, Associate Professor for Performance Neuroscience and Sport Neurophysiology and Programme Leader of the Sport and Exercise Science Programme, offered him to work for a neurophysiology study, combining the use of EEG and the Skillcourt technology, about identifying the effects of motor‐cognitive training on brain function.
“My tasks included recruiting participant and conducting the experiments with them. Further, I was involved in the data analysis to identify differences between cognitive and motor-cognitive demands on the brain level. This project allowed me to discover how to carry out a research project from start to finish and how to deal with challenges during the process. Learning how to use the EEG will also be beneficial to me when continuing doing neurological research on animals.”
