Sport Science Days Project: promoting science to high school students
On the 3rd of November, LUNEX University welcomed students from the International School of Luxembourg for the Sport Science Days Project, a PSP-Classic Project, aiming to promote science to high school students aged from 14 to 16 years old. Supported by the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR) in Luxembourg, this edition was the first in a series of 4 events.
Students took part in two interactive and highly practice-oriented workshops in the fields of Sport Science and Sport Management delivered by our experts Assist. Prof. Dr. Bettina Karsten, Dr. Fraser Carson and Prof. Dr. Mathieu Winand. Through these workshops, they were introduced to key scientific concepts which enable them to discover different research areas related to sport.
Our experts started their workshops with an introductory presentation including basic theoretical knowledge and a description of the practical part of the workshops. Several relevant research examples and practical applications were also provided in order to help the students to understand in what contexts the research methods and results can be used.
