Seminar „Biomedical signal analysis and its applications in health, sport and pathology“
The LUNEX University’s Physiotherapy Department is organising a seminar „Biomedical signal analysis and its applications in health, sport and pathology“. This upcoming seminar will take place on 15 February, from 14:30 – 17:15 at LUNEX University (Room 0.02). If you want to participate, please fill in our registration form.
In recent years the role of quantitative biomedical signal analysis has exponentially increased beyond a clinician’s qualitative evaluation, in order to assess the physiological condition and predict outcomes in health, sport performance, and pathology.
From electromyography for musculoskeletal performance optimisation during physical activity, to complex algorithms capable of evaluating cardiovascular health and predicting surgical outcomes, to integrated commercial systems used to assess sleep quality and monitor sleep disorders, it is clear that recording multiple variables of physiological origin and quantitatively analysing them with advanced techniques of signal processing allows for an objective, often automatic, evaluation of the pathophysiological state and its response to stimuli.
This hybrid onsite-online seminar aims at giving an introductory overview of biomedical signal analysis and its applications in a clinical context, by fostering discussion between scientists with different technical and clinical backgrounds.
Here is the detailed programme of the seminar below:
