LUNEX Students in Action at the ING Night Marathon

The ING Night Marathon in Luxembourg offers students at LUNEX the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a dynamic, real-world setting. This year, students from three programmes contributed to different aspects of the event, gaining hands-on experience and engaging directly with the public and participants.
Students from the International Sport Management programme were actively involved in coordinating the event. They managed the starting blocks and took on the key role of presenting medals to finishers—offering them a direct view into event logistics and participant interaction.
Physiotherapy students provided post-race massages for runners, working under the supervision of LUNEX teaching staff. This experience enabled them to apply recovery techniques in a high-energy environment and support athletes immediately after they completed their race.
Meanwhile, Sport & Exercise Science students hosted a booth where they invited visitors to test their reaction speed using reaction pods. The setup encouraged interaction with the public, gave students a chance to share their expertise, and offered a practical demonstration of how science connects with sports performance.
Through their involvement, students made meaningful contributions to the marathon while gaining exposure to professional settings relevant to their future careers.
