PhD student Svonko Galasso gets published in Engineering Application of Artificial Intelligence journal
Great news! A new research study, executed by our Ph.D. Student Svonko Galasso, has been published by Engineering Application of Artificial Intelligence. Check it out here.
Gait analysis is crucial in clinics to assess and improve motor abilities for gait recovery. However, the data generated by wearable sensors or camera systems are difficult to manage and interpret, making it impractical for clinical use.
The study aims to classify subjects’ physical activity levels obtained through a self-reported questionnaire (IPAQ), using Machine Learning techniques and kinematic features from IMU sensors.
This study was fully supported by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) under the project MEMENTO – Machine lEarning-based Marker-lEss gait analysis system for clinical assessment of humaN moTiOn [16749075].
