LUNEX Students Volunteer at the Paris 2024 Olympics
LUNEX is excited to share the experiences of two students who had the opportunity to volunteer at the Paris 2024 Olympics. These roles allowed them to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings while being part of one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events. Their involvement provided a unique chance to gain insights into the operations behind the scenes at the Olympics.
From Clinics to the Boxing Ring: Timothée’s Olympic Journey
One of our physiotherapy students, Timothée, had the incredible honour of volunteering at the Paris 2024 Olympics. He worked closely with athletes in one of the Games’ most historic sports—boxing. Timothée’s role was pivotal in ensuring the athletes’ readiness and recovery, applying the skills and knowledge he had honed during his time at LUNEX. We’re proud to have supported him by accommodating his academic schedule, enabling him to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
A Summer of Gymnastics: Caterina’s Olympic Experience
Caterina, a Sports and Exercise Science student, spent her summer volunteering at the State Pierre de Coubertin, the training centre for rhythmic gymnastics and the competition venue for trampoline gymnastics. During the Olympics, she had the chance to meet the French national rhythmic gymnastics team and witness firsthand the dedication and skill that define elite athletes. This experience enriched her understanding of sports science and provided an unforgettable summer break.
