LUNEX students and staff join Sport-IE training in Norway

As part of the Sport-IE Project, an EIT Higher Education Initiative aimed at Increasing Physical Activity Levels Through Strengthening Innovation and Entrepreneurial Capacity in Sport Science HEIs, a group of LUNEX students and staff—both academic and non-academic—recently travelled to Norway for an inspiring learning exchange.
The visit offered an incredible opportunity to explore new approaches to collaboration, problem-solving, and real-world application of entrepreneurial ideas within sport and health environments.
Highlight of the week:
Throughout the week, participants took part in a diverse programme that included:
-
Welcome and campus tour at NIH, followed by a community dinner.
-
Knowledge-sharing with StartNIH and LUNEX partners.
-
Interactive workshops on institutional opportunities and challenges.
-
Collaborative sessions on how students, staff and universities can drive positive change.
-
A hands-on workshop guiding participants through the full process – from idea generation to testing and implementation.
-
Discussions on building local networks and partnerships with companies, clinics, universities and innovation hubs.
Beyond the formal sessions, the trip was filled with fun, team spirit, and memorable experiences—strengthening our LUNEX community and energizing us to bring fresh ideas back home.
LUNEX warmly thanks Frode Paulsen, Tom-Daniel, Karoline, Nicholas and Ivo for their hospitality and expertly curated sessions.
