Alumni Spotlight: Rahmane – from LUNEX to elite performance coaching

Rahmane, 23, from Morocco, graduated from our Master’s in Sport and Exercise Science in 2024. He is now working as a Strength & Conditioning Coach and Mental Performance Coach for high-level athletes. In addition, he serves as both a Position Coach and Strength Coach for the French National Women’s Flag Football Team.
“I’ve had the privilege to work with NFL athletes, including Chris Braswell (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and, this year, Jihaad Campbell (Philadelphia Eagles), focusing on both physical and mental preparation. I’m also part of the French National Women’s Flag Football Team staff, helping the team prepare for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics as a strength coach and position coach.
“Here in Luxembourg, I work with Jeunesse Canach, a semi-professional football club, as their Strength & Conditioning Coach.”
When asked about his time at LUNEX, Rahmane reflected on the flexible schedule, a well-balanced workload, and internship opportunities that gave him hands-on experience while studying. “LUNEX helped me refine my scientific understanding of performance and taught me how to apply theory effectively in the field. It also improved my English communication skills, which is essential for working with international athletes, particularly my NFL players.”
Some of Rahmane’s favourite modules included Sport Psychology, Nutrition, and Exercise Physiology, giving a special mention to lecturers Khatija, Fraser, and Thorben for their guidance and support.
