Practical Session Spotlight: Hip and Knee Assessment Skills
15.06.2026

Our second-year Bachelor in Physiotherapy students practised musculoskeletal special tests for the hip and knee, building the skills needed to assess and diagnose injuries with confidence.
These special tests are a core part of a physiotherapist's clinical toolkit, helping to identify specific injuries and conditions through targeted, hands-on assessment. During the session, students worked in pairs to practise these techniques, developing not only their technical accuracy but also the confidence needed to apply them effectively in a clinical setting.
Sessions like this give students the opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into practical, hands-on skills, an essential step in preparing them to accurately assess and diagnose patients throughout their future careers.
