Campus Life: February Events
Last week, our campus was active with engaging events organized by our Student Support team. Here are the highlights:
Integration Day: We kicked off the week with Integration Day, celebrating cultural diversity and inclusion. Our international students were welcome to join the Buergbrennen festivities, an age-old Luxembourgish tradition of burning bonfires to bid farewell to winter.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students from various backgrounds to share experiences and embrace local customs.
Networking Thursday: Midweek, we shifted our focus to fostering professional growth with Networking Thursday. Led by a LUNEX student, Auguste, the event was a catalyst for students to expand their professional networks and explore potential career paths. Networking Thursdays are a transformative experience, equipping students with the confidence and direction to navigate the professional landscape.
‘Let’s Talk About Love’ Presentation: The week concluded with Maria Nuñez delivering a heartwarming presentation on deeply personal matters such as romantic relationships, familial bonds, and societal norms. Students engaged in thought-provoking conversations, sharing personal experiences and insights while gaining a deeper understanding of the complexities inherent in matters of love and relationships. This presentation served as a reminder of the significance of empathy and communication in establishing meaningful connections, both within and beyond the boundaries of campus life.
