LUNEX Students Make Their Mark at the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg
18.05.2026

Another amazing year at the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg! LUNEX students and staff once again played a key role in bringing this event to life, both on the course and behind the scenes.
Students from our Bachelor's programmes in International Sport Management and Sport & Exercise Science volunteered throughout the day, taking charge of the starting blocks and the medal area as part of their Project Management in Sport module. The team was led by a third-year International Sport Management student who had also volunteered at the event the previous year, bringing valuable experience to the role. Another third-year student, part of the official organising team, was on hand at the info desk to support runners and visitors throughout the event.
Our Physiotherapy students also made a real difference, providing recovery massages to runners after they crossed the finish line, helping athletes ease into recovery after months of training and a demanding race.
Beyond the volunteering, a number of LUNEX students took on the challenge themselves, representing the institution across the marathon, semi-marathon and team races. A group of students also kept things running at the LUNEX booth all weekend, engaging with the community and representing the institution throughout the event.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year's marathon a success, and a big congratulations to all our students and staff who took on the challenge and crossed the finish line. What an achievement!
