LUNEX Research Recognised at the Inaugural International Society of Exercise Neuroscience Meeting

LUNEX research was proudly represented at the inaugural meeting of the International Society of Exercise Neuroscience (ISENS), hosted by University College London (UCL). Bringing together leading researchers from around the world, the conference focused on the growing body of evidence linking physical activity and brain health.

Representing LUNEX, Professor Thorben Hülsdünker and PhD student Beatriz Jordao showcased the university's expertise in exercise neuroscience while engaging with the international research community and contributing to discussions on the future of the field.

The event also marked an important recognition of their work through two prestigious awards.

Professor Thorben Hülsdünker received the People's Choice Award for Best Oral Presentation for his research exploring the effects of stroboscopic training in elite athletes. His presentation highlighted innovative approaches to enhancing athletic performance through neuroscience-informed training methods.

Ahead of the main conference, Beatriz Jordao participated in the ISENS pre-conference Hackathon, where her team was awarded first place for developing innovative research ideas aimed at advancing brain health through exercise.

These achievements reflect LUNEX's ongoing commitment to excellence in research and its active contribution to advancing knowledge in sport and exercise neuroscience.

We warmly congratulate Professor Thorben Hülsdünker and Beatriz Jordao on these well-deserved recognitions and thank the ISENS organisers for hosting such an inspiring event. We look forward to the next edition and to continuing to contribute to this exciting and rapidly growing field.
