From Luxembourg to Australia: Océane's Exchange Semester at Deakin University

Through her exchange semester at Deakin University in Australia, Océane, a third-year student in the Bachelor in Sport and Exercise Science, stepped far outside her comfort zone and came back with unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships and valuable professional experience.

"When I found out we had the possibility to study abroad, I thought: why not? Australia had always been a dream for me, and thanks to the partnership between LUNEX and Deakin, it became reality."

Studying at Deakin was a completely different experience for Océane. She had to learn how to organise herself, manage a heavy workload and adapt to a new way of studying. Living on campus also allowed her to fully experience student life and meet people from all around the world.

"What I will never forget the most is definitely the people I met. We shared such an important moment of our lives together, and I know I made friendships that will last forever."

Océane encourages other students who are hesitating about going abroad to take the leap. "Just go for it. Listen to that inner voice telling you to explore and try something new. You'll learn so much about yourself."

The experience also helped her grow professionally. Australia has a strong sports culture, and studying at one of the top institutions for sports science allowed her to connect with professionals and develop practical skills that will support her future career.
