First-Year Sport Management Students Visit the CEV

As part of their Strategic Management in Sport module, our Bachelor in International Sport Management students recently visited the headquarters of the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV), gaining first-hand insight into the operations of an international sports federation.

Throughout the visit, students attended presentations from several CEV departments, including Beach Volleyball, Digital, Commercial, Development, Events, and Human Resources. These sessions provided an overview of how the different areas work together to organise competitions, support member federations, engage fans, and drive the continued growth of volleyball across Europe.

The visit was hosted by Jessie, a third-year International Sport Management student currently completing her internship in the CEV's Digital Department. As one of LUNEX's long-standing internship partners, the CEV provides students with valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience in an international sporting environment. Over the years, a number of LUNEX graduates have also gone on to secure full-time positions within the organisation, demonstrating the strong connection between academic study and career opportunities.

By connecting classroom learning with real-world practice, visits like these help students better understand sport governance while offering valuable insights into the wide range of career pathways available within international sport organisations.

We sincerely thank the CEV team for their warm welcome and for sharing their expertise with our students.
