Final-Year Sport Management Students Take on Mock Trial Challenge

As part of their Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility module, our Bachelor in International Sport Management students recently took part in a Mock Trial, debating some of the most widely discussed legal and ethical cases in the sports industry.

Working in teams, students researched their assigned cases, developed evidence-based arguments, and defended their positions by applying the theories and concepts explored throughout the module. The exercise challenged them to think critically, evaluate complex ethical issues, and justify their decisions using academic frameworks in a realistic setting.

Beyond strengthening their understanding of ethics and governance in sport, the Mock Trial also gave students the opportunity to develop essential professional skills, including public speaking, teamwork, persuasive communication, and critical thinking.

By combining academic theory with practical application, activities like these help prepare our students for the complex decisions they may face throughout their careers in the sport industry.
