Understanding the ageing body through experiential learning

As part of a recent lecture, our Master students in Sport and Exercise Science explored age-related changes in physical function through hands-on experiential learning.
Using an ageing simulation suit and simulation glasses, students were able to experience sensations such as fatigue, reduced mobility, stiffness, and changes in balance and vision.
This practical approach allowed students to better understand the physical challenges associated with ageing and to reflect on how exercise and movement programmes can be adapted for older adults.
