LUNEX students visit FLF and CEV
Our International Sport Management and Sport & Exercise Science students are currently taking a module called Strategic Management in Sport Business. As part of this module, they recently visited the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Football (FLF) and the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV) for presentations about their organizations‘ strategic plans and tours of their facilities.
At FLF, students met with Bob Fries, an alumnus of the Master in Sport Management & Digitalisation programme at LUNEX, who now serves as the Head of Marketing. Bob provided insights into FLF’s strategic initiatives and marketing strategies.
The visit to CEV included presentations by various departments, including Volleyball, Snow Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Top Events, and Digital. These sessions gave students a comprehensive understanding of a major sports confederation’s strategic planning and operational management.
The knowledge gained from these visits will be instrumental as students work on their group reports, creating strategic plans for a Luxembourgish sports club. This hands-on experience allows them to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, preparing them for future careers in the sports industry.
